Strengthening Operational Excellence, Semen Gresik Holds Workshop to Improve Employee Technical Competence through Kiln & Maintenance Academy
Rembang, February 7th, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik strengthens operational excellence by implementing Kiln & Maintenance Academy in developing employee competencies in production and maintenance units.
Senior Manager of Production PT Semen Gresik, Wisnu Wardana, explained that this training supports the optimization of Kiln operations, where Kiln is a device that has an important role in the cement production process with complex controls and consumes large electrical and heat energy.
"Kiln operation requires excellent resources and is always ready. The hope is that from this training, we will prepare experts or operators in the Central Control Room (CCR) of the Kiln, as well as optimize the process of operating the Kiln machine," he explained.
He continued; Semen Gresik also held a maintenance academy that supports the maintenance of production equipment in the Rembang Factory operation process.
"We prepare expert personnel in the field of maintenance so that the target is to minimize the occurrence of breakdowns, extend the lifetime, and be able to master knowledge in theory and practice," he said.
From the training, it hopes to increase the competence and level up the employees. So that it can have a positive impact on production quality, work safety, and overall operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, the Senior Manager of Human Capital & General Affairs PT Semen Gresik, Taufik Susanto, explained that the Kiln & Maintenance Academy Program is a program from the parent company PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) which is intended for each subsidiary throughout Indonesia, including PT Semen Gresik.
"The implementation is divided into two sessions, namely Kiln academy with 4 participants and maintenance academy with 3 participants. Where each activity is carried out in early January 2024 for the next 6 months," he concluded.
